Coventry is changing. Whether it is the skyline with significant regeneration underway, the investment in a new building to kick-start the new business district or our successful bid to be the City of Culture 2021 Coventry is on the move.
Most importantly we are creating an environment where good social work flourishes and the lives of our children improve. Having recently received a very positive endorsement from Ofsted following their recent two day focused visit we continue to work to improve the service to deliver the very best outcomes for our children.
Following our Ofsted inspection in March 2017 significant progress has been made. We are now working hard to consolidate that improvement. We have opened eight multi agency early help hubs, restructured our area social work teams and developed a specific service for our looked after children.
Now is a great time to join us as we continue our ambition to achieve good outcomes for all our children. If you have a passion for making a difference to children’s lives and a commitment to the highest professional standards then I want to hear from you. Children’s Services is a top key priority for the Council and it has protected funding to ensure that vulnerable children receive the right help in the right way at the right time.
This role is at the sharp end of some of the most challenging issues facing the public sector, but for the right person this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something very special in a City that’s full of ambition and drive to deliver a better future for Coventry Children.
I look forward to hearing from you
